JULY

JULY.... been a crazy month!! super busy, but that's been good. Finally Boise got some great weather and it has been warm enough to do summer things! Between all the craziness of work for both of us we have had the opportunity to go swimming, hang out with family and friends, enjoy SO MANY family birthdays and lots of fun things.

Going all the way back to the 4Th- we spent day with the Nelson side. Everyone went to my grandparents for a BBQ and walked down to the park to watch the fireworks! It was so fun to have Dane this year and be able to spend all of our holidays together. It was so great to have all the Nelson side together, its been along time since everyone could get together. Even my little brother came home from selling in North Carolina. This is Daners and I in front of the flag! :)

So far since we've been married, every month on our "month" anniversary Dane and I take turns each month and do something fun for the other person - so July was his month and he surprised me and took me on a bike ride down to the park to get ice cream (DQ my favorite!) and then we rode to the rose gardens our special spot (where he asked me to be his girl friend and proposed)! It was sooo fun to just have the night to just talk and ride bikes together! He is a sweetheart!
On another warm July weekend, we went with our friends Michelle and Tucker to the drive in movie theatre in Nampa! It was really fun! it took us awhile to get there but that was the fun part, stopping at McDonald's to get ice cream cones while the boys were in the back! what a great time! we are so blessed to have great friends!

Just this last weekend Dane and I had the greatest opportunity to do BYS (Boise Youth Spectacular- a.k.a Boise EFY) I talked Dane into doing with me and it was the best thing we've ever done! We had a BLAST and grew spiritually so much! our group was awesome, we didn't have anyone that ruined it for the rest of the group. they got along so well and was ready to learn and have fun! It was only 2 1/2 days but we were amazed at how they all came together in such a short amount of time. There was 20 kids so we were able to do some really fun stuff! We got to hear from Jon Schmidt a fabulous LDS pianist, Moose Butter a comical acappella group, for group fun we played minute to win it games, had a fun dance, talent show, skits, and got to listen to so many GREAT speakers! I didn't know that doing this BYS would really have an influence on us but it did! It truly was so fun!

He hadn't had a friend party just for him since he was little so i told him that i wanted to do and dane and kelsey night and plan something really special for him....little did he know it was a party for him! I was so thankful for everyone that came! it really did mean the world to him. I told him i forgot the blankets so we had to stop home and he had to run in and grab them. It was sooo funny when he went inside and everyone jumped out, haha we have it on tape and it was priceless! anyways....I LOVE YOU DANE!
